Sevilla are reportedly big fans of Chelsea star Andreas Christensen, who’s one of numerous players in the current squad to come through the Blues academy.

According to The Athletic, Spanish and Champions League side Sevilla are “admirers” of the 25-year-old defender.

However, the London giants don’t want to lose the ball-playing centre-back. Therefore, it’s reported they are in talks with him right now over a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

Christensen, who earns £80,000-a-week, has had an amazing 2021.

He stepped into Thomas Tuchel’s XI with such comfort whenever needed during the second half of last season, including in the Champions League final when he was amazing off the bench.

Also, the Denmark international had a storming Euro 2020 tournament this summer.

He’s not renowned as one of the big names at Chelsea, but he’s more than proven his worth to them.

Chelsea are being heavily linked with a deal this summer to sign Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde, with the inclusion of Kurt Zouma in the deal mooted. However, 90min claims that Zouma has informed the Blues he doesn’t want a move to Spain, and West Ham look more likely suitors if they improve a £20million offer.

For Sevilla, it sounds like they are not being offered the centre-back they want. There is no chance though Chelsea fans want to see Christensen leave. Fortunately, the club feel the same way.
