Stoke City and Rangers could battle it out this summer to sign Chelsea loanee Dujon Sterling on a permanent deal, according to reports.
Dujon Sterling, 23, is a Chelsea-owned player that has spent this year on a season-long loan at Stoke in the Championship.
However, the Blues defender is out of contract at Stamford Bridge next month and will soon be available as a free agent if Chelsea don’t extend his deal.

The Scottish Sun now claims that Rangers are interested in signing Sterling and want to hijack Stoke’s interest in him.
It is understood that English Championship side Stoke want the right-back back with them next season, this time on a permanent basis.
The report says that Scottish giants Rangers are also keen, though, with their manager Michael Beale familiar with Sterling from their time together in Chelsea’s academy.
It doesn’t look like the versatile defender has managed to cut the grade at Stamford Bridge despite making two first-team Chelsea appearances. However, he’s still a youngster carving out quite the career and could be playing European football next season if he moves to Ibrox.

He could be offered the chance to continue his journey and progression at Stoke, but the possibility of playing for a big club like Rangers should be tempting.
We’re not too surprised Sterling’s path appear to lie away from Chelsea.
The Blues have Reece James as their outstanding full-back on the right of defence, plus Malo Gusto will return from his loan at Lyon in pre-season.
