Report: Club now getting frustrated with Chelsea as they try to buy £30m player from them
West Ham are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea’s Armando Broja this summer, but they’re growing frustrated with how transfer discussions are unfolding.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, West Ham are currently in talks with Chelsea about the 20-year-old striker.
It is understood the Hammers want to take the Blues youngster on a permanent deal after his impressive season-long loan at Southampton last season.
The Telegraph adds that West Ham are getting frustrated that Chelsea are yet to name their valuation for the centre-forward. It could be around £30million to prize the talent away from Stamford Bridge.
West Ham interested in Broja
It’s no big surprise that Broja’s eye-catching loan at Southampton has earned him transfer interest. Nottingham Forest are among the clubs to be linked with him this summer, too.
The Albania international has made one first-team appearance for Chelsea, but he’s put his name on the Premier League map for impressing at St Mary’s last season.
There are some Blues supporters that would love to see the academy graduate bumped up into Thomas Tuchel’s senior squad next season.
He’s an all-action forward with great strength, pace and work rate. The potential for him to develop with better players around him is great, too.
It’s previously been reported Chelsea boss Tuchel would like to check on Broja during pre-season, though, so perhaps they may continue to frustrate London rivals West Ham a little longer still.
