Everton want Anthony Gordon to sign a new deal with them to reportedly fend off any potential interest from Chelsea.
Everton manager, Frank Lampard, confirmed this week that the Merseyside club are in contract talks with their 21-year-old talent.
According to The Sun, the Toffees are in discussing about increasing Gordon’s contract from £10,000-a-week to an improved £60,000-a-week package.
It is understood Everton could look at including a £75million release clause for the attacker, too.
The report explains they’re looking to ward off interest from the likes of Chelsea and other big clubs in their rising star.

Anthony Gordon contract
Described as an “explosive” player by Andros Townsend, Gordon has grown into a talisman in the Everton side at such a young age.
He was strongly linked with a potential switch to Stamford Bridge in the recent summer transfer window, so it’s no surprise Everton are wary now and keen to die down the player’s future.
The quick winger already had two goals in six Premier League appearances this season. He looks his team’s most dangerous threat in forward areas when it comes to creating and running at opponents, too.
There were some Chelsea fans who weren’t too keen when summer interest surfaced in the media, but he’s putting in the kind of Premier League performances lately that deserve hype.

It’s going to be interesting to see how Chelsea’s forward line takes shape under Graham Potter, who does still have so much talent in his squad despite the club failing to get Gordon.
Raheem Sterling seems like a no-brainer in the line-up. It seems very much up for grabs to play alongside him, though.
