SC Heerenveen are interested in signing Chelsea youngster Charlie Webster on loan next season, according to reports.
Heerenveen, who play in the Dutch top division, have their eyes set on Blues prospect Charlie Webster.
Dutch newspaper Leeuwarder Couran claims that Heerenveen are aiming to improve their midfield options during the upcoming summer transfer window.
It is understood that the Eredivisie club are keen on signing Webster on a season-long loan.
The Chelsea teenager is yet to make a first-team debut and he’s earned his reputation from success in the Blues academy, but he could be offered his first senior minutes abroad next season.

We’ve spotted Webster around Chelsea’s first-team training numerous times this season, including during the Graham Potter era earlier in the campaign.
He’s a 19-year-old Englishman that’s been a very important player this term for Chelsea’s Under-21s side. Is he now ready to take that onto the first-team stage, though?
There’s no doubt the Dutch league is a fantastic home for young rising stars to learn their trade, something that the likes of Mason Mount did earlier in his career.
Webster to Heerenveen is definitely the kind of deal that gets a big tick from us.

Webster is a versatile midfielder that is comfortable sitting as a No 6 dictating play with his range of passing and aggressive tackling to break up play. In addition, he’s got an eye for goal and can suit a No 8 position in the centre of the park.
It seems like a loan deal next season is the logical step in his progression.
We do know that Mauricio Pochettino is great at developing youngsters, so Chelsea’s academy stars should be hoping of a look-in under the new Chelsea boss.
