Reports from France suggest PSG will not stop Presnel Kimpembe leaving if a good enough offer comes this summer.

According to L’Equipe, Chelsea are interested in a deal, with it offering the Frenchman the possibility of reuniting with Thomas Tuchel.

The pair worked together for the Parisian club between 2018 and 2020, with the defender gradually earning more minutes as a starter alongside current Blue Thiago Silva.

Since the German’s departure, Kimpembe has become a regular at the back for PSG, helping them reclaim the Ligue 1 title this season.

Rumours suggest that they are looking to strengthen their defence with the signing of Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan, a player also targeted by the Blues.

PSG won’t stop Kimpembe leaving

This could open the door for Chelsea to move for the France international, with L’Equipe claiming that PSG are open to letting him go.

The report claims that the Blues are the side who’ve shown the most interest in the deal, with the club in desperate need to add defensive reinforcements.

The departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen have left a massive void at the back, with Cesar Azpilicueta’s potential exit creating even more issues.

The Blues have been busy scouting defenders to fill those gaps, with Dutch pair Matthijs de Ligt and Nathan Ake seemingly at the top of the list.

Negotiations for the Manchester City man are reportedly at a far more advanced stage, with the clubs already close to finalising negotiations over the transfer of Raheem Sterling.

Ake would be a favoured option due to his ability to play on the left of defence, however the same theory can be applied to Kimpembe, who is also left footed.

With his versatility to also deputise as a left-back, the Frenchman could end up being the perfect acquisition, especially if Marcos Alonso moves on as expected.
