Hull City will reportedly play Chelsea prospect Harvey Vale on the right wing after signing him on loan yesterday.
Championship side Hull managed to sign the 18-year-old Blues talent on a season-long loan during Thursday’s deadline day.
In addition, the second division club have Nathan Baxter and Xavier Simons in their squad this year, who are two more Chelsea-owned youngsters spending time out on loan.
Vale has exited Stamford Bridge for his first spell away from the club on loan, but there’s at least some familiar faces in the dressing room from time at Cobham.
The promising teenager is a very versatile player still finding his way in the game.
He’s enjoyed a lot of success as an attacking midfielder or a winger on either flank. In fact, he’s shown versatility to cover as a wing-back if needed as well.

Harvey Vale on right wing
According to the Evening Standard, Hull are prepared to give Vale the opportunity to compete for a starting position on the right wing.
It’s a role that he’s played in his short career so far and it allows him to cut infield onto his favoured left foot.
The England Under-19 international has enjoyed a lot of success for his country at various age groups, plus he’s played five first-team games for boyhood club Chelsea.
His real challenge now will be how he copes with the physicality and demands of a full Championship season, though.
It will be great to get some clarity on his best position, so let’s hope he can force his way into the Hull line-up and show what he can do on the senior stage.
There’s no doubt he’s a very technical footballer with his dribbling and vision. He’s been called “technically gifted” by Lewis Hall.
The Blues academy graduate has an eye for goal, too. He scored three goals in two Chelsea appearances for the Under-23s this season, but a year with Hull could be the perfect step for his development.
