Real Madrid are reportedly lining up a move for Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger.
According to ESPN, Carlo Ancelotti’s Madrid are eyeing the 29-year-old defender as a target ahead of the summer.
It is explained the £100,000-a-week Blues star “wowed” the Spanish side’s executives after facing them twice recently in the Champions League quarter-finals, so they’re now considering making a move.
His contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season, which is why Madrid could swoop in by landing him on a free transfer.
It’s been reported by The Athletic that Rudiger wants to make a decision on his future by the end of April.
Therefore, Chelsea’s chances of getting him to stay may be at risk given current sanctions ban them from arranging new contracts for existing players.
The Blues fanbase are waiting patiently to hear who will win the takeover race to become the next owners at the Bridge.

Chelsea on verge of massive loss
If Rudiger does leave, it’s a colossal blow to the Chelsea squad.
He’s one of the very few individuals you can bank on manager Thomas Tuchel picking every game. Edouard Mendy, Reece James and Mason Mount are the others that may fit into that category.
It’s well documented how much Rudiger’s improved during the past 18 months, but whether he could go replicate that elsewhere remains to be seen.
His club career has been spent in Germany, Italy and England, so Spain would bring a different challenge and pressure completely.
