Chelsea youngster Bashir Humphreys is attracting a lot of interest in this summer transfer window, according to reports.
Bashir Humphreys, who’s just 20, is an exciting defender to come through the Blues academy at Cobham in the last few years.
The centre-back was handed a first-team debut back in January when Graham Potter was still Chelsea’s first-team boss. Afterwards, he spent the second half of the season out on loan in Germany’s second division at Paderborn.
Now, he’s linked with a move this summer.

The Evening Standard claims that Humphreys is attracting both loan and permanent interest from Championship and European clubs.
It is understood that Championship side Coventry City, who did a great job developing Ian Maatsen last season, is one potential suitor.
The report explains that Chelsea have the option to extend Humphreys’ existing contract by a further year and then send him out on another loan.

In our view, Humphreys should be allowed to go out on loan again next season.
The England Under-20 international is clearly a very promising talent, so keeping him on the books a little while longer seems the smart move.
He’s captained Chelsea’s Under-21s side and excelled at youth level, but these first-team loans will be the real making of him.
The ball-playing centre-back will definitely be aware that Chelsea already own several talented youngsters in his position of the pitch. Therefore, he’s got a lot to do to stand out and grab Mauricio Pochettino’s attention.
We feel like that the likes of Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile and Levi Colwill will be someway ahead of him in the defensive pecking order right now. How much longer do Thiago Silva and Kalidou Koulibaly have around the Blues squad, though?
