Tottenham are interested in a potential move to sign Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher this summer.

That is according to Football.London.

Conor Gallagher is one of several academy graduates at Chelsea and made 45 senior appearances in total last season, but he’s now linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Football.London claim that Gallagher is expected to be sold by Chelsea during the summer transfer window.

It is explained that Tottenham have joined Premier League rivals Newcastle United by showing interest in the 23-year-old Blues midfielder.

The report details that there were conversations last week at Spurs between their chairman Daniel Levy and newly-appointed manager Ange Postecoglou. They discussed transfer priorities during a recruitment meeting, with Chelsea’s Gallagher identified as a potential target.

The Daily Mail shared last month that Chelsea will demand around £40million to sell Gallagher this summer amid interest from West Ham, Crystal Palace and Newcastle.

In our view, Gallagher’s future should be solely down to Mauricio Pochettino’s plans.

The ‘fantastic’ central midfielder previously excelled in the Premier League during a loan at Palace, but last season felt a struggle in Chelsea colours.

Pochettino will need to find a way to get the best from the box-to-box midfielder if he wants him.

If we do end up selling the England international, we would prefer he goes anywhere but rivals Spurs.
