Report: Four clubs are now making a ‘big push’ to sign £10m Chelsea player, he’s been told he leave

Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is now being targeted by several clubs, according to reports.

Sky Sports claims that four teams in Saudi Arabia are making a ‘big push’ to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

It is understood that Al Ittihad, Al Hilal, Al Nassr and Al Ahly are the sides from Saudi Arabia interested in the 33-year-old Blues striker.

In addition, the report says that there’s interest from several European clubs. Barcelona, Inter, AC Milan, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are keen.

The Evening Standard claimed last month that Aubameyang has already been told he can leave Chelsea during this summer transfer window.

We would be very surprised to see the £10million attacker turn things around in west London next season.

Mauricio Pochettino desperately needs to trim an oversized Blues squad, and we suggest Aubameyang being one of the high-profile names to let go.

Aubameyang’s return to England in a Chelsea shirt has been fairly disastrous.

The centre-forward scored just three times in 21 Blues appearances during his debut season at Stamford Bridge.

It’s quite telling that he continued to be overlooked during the second half of the season when the team were playing without a recognised frontman, which proved to be a real downfall in their campaign.

In our view, it’s best for all parties if Aubameyang’s exit can be arranged this summer. If not, he could be set for another year of limited football during the second and final year of his Chelsea contract.
