Report: 'Frustrated' Chelsea star prepared to listen to offers from two Italian clubs

Juventus and AC Milan are monitoring Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic, who has been “frustrated” by his lack of game time under Thomas Tuchel, according to the Daily Mail.

The 23-year-old has spent three seasons at Chelsea since joining from Borussia Dortmund and has yet to establish himself as a regular starter.

In fact, the number of starts he had in the Premier League went lower in the last three seasons; 19 in 2019/20, 18 in 2020/21, and just 13 in the last term.

Injury problems played a big part, of course, but even when he was fit, he seemed to play a rotation player role.

To be fair, aside from Mason Mount and Kai Havertz, the rest of Chelsea’s attackers also play this role under Tuchel.

It likely had to do with the lack of consistency among these forwards, but the manager’s tendency to chop and change has not helped the players to find a rhythm as well.

Speaking during international duty with the USA, Pulisic, once again, expressed his desire for regular football.

“Of course, I want to get more playing time,” the winger explained to the reporters.

“I want to be on the field as much as I can and be the sharpest I can be and fit as well.

“I think I still got a lot of games, but it’s always something that I’m working at and trying to be regular at club level as well to put myself in the best position to be fit when I come here with the national team.”

Chelsea and Pulisic reportedly open to offers

While this suggests that Pulisic still wants to fight for a regular spot at Chelsea, the Daily Mail claims that he is also ready to listen to offers this summer.

Two Italian clubs; Juventus and Milan, are reportedly keeping an eye on the winger.

These clubs, however, are unlikely to match the £58million that Chelsea paid to Dortmund and would be looking for a cut-price deal, the report added.

This would be far from ideal for the Blues, unless they planned to make space in the squad for a new winger.

Interestingly, Chelsea have been linked with Ousmane Dembele, who will soon be available on a free transfer.
