Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek could reportedly be targeted by Fulham this summer on a permanent transfer, according to the Sun.
The 25-year-old Blues midfielder is currently enjoying a season-long loan at Premier League rivals Fulham, where he’s playing regularly at Craven Cottage.
It is claimed that Fulham want to sign Loftus-Cheek on a permanent deal at the end of the campaign when his loan expires, and they are confident that he will join.
But the report states that it’s under the one condition that they manage to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
Scott Parker’s Fulham are 18th right now in the relegation zone of the top-flight table, but look like the in-form side down the bottom and are only behind Brighton on goal difference.
Loftus-Cheek, who is a product of the Chelsea academy, was allowed out on a temporary basis this season to play regular football.
There is no option to buy in Loftus-Cheek’s loan at Fulham, so it’ll be up to Blues manager Thomas Tuchel to asses the situation in the summer.

If Loftus-Cheek does leave, it will surely be a really tough one for a lot of Chelsea fans to take.
The box-to-box central midfielder has shown some real bright moments in a Fulham shirt, but still looks a long way from the player that was key at Stamford Bridge during the Maurizio Sarri campaign a couple of years back.
His injury problems have halted his progress, and it feels like he’s got nowhere near his potential.
