Genoa could make a move to sign Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic after appointing Andriy Shevchenko as their new manager, according to Italian publication Il Secolo XIX.
The former Blues striker recently agreed a deal to lead Genoa after a quite successful spell as the Ukraine national team manager.
Shevchenko, according to Il Secolo XIX, has also received reassurances on the financial backing from the club owners in the upcoming transfer market.
The report suggests Genoa will focus on reinforcing their flanks, with two Premier League stars; Pulisic and Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko, being the potential targets.

Chelsea unlikely to offload Pulisic in January
First of all, the Blues are currently pushing for the Premier League title. While Pulisic has only featured in two league games this season, he is still a valuable member of the squad.
The former Borussia Dortmund star is under contract at Chelsea until 2024 and until then, the club will still have the final say on his future.
Even if Chelsea were planning to cash in on the American due to his injury problems, they would not want to risk upsetting Thomas Tuchel in the middle of the season.
Secondly, it simply does not seem plausible that Pulisic himself wants to leave this exciting Chelsea side for a likely relegation battle in Serie A with Genoa, regardless of his desire to play regular football.
