Graham Potter will reportedly continue to use Jorginho as an important player during the second half of the season. However, people within Chelsea are expecting the £50million midfielder to leave in the summer.
According to The Telegraph, Jorginho is set to be a vital individual for the Blues during the remainder of the 2022/23 campaign.
The report explains that there’s a belief within Chelsea that the 31-year-old is likely to exit Stamford Bridge at the end of the season when his contract expires, though.
It is understood that there could be a change if the club decide to quickly make a big contract offer. However, the immediate focus is on sorting out new deals for N’Golo Kante and Mason Mount.

Jorginho will keep playing under Graham Potter
Jorginho remains one of the senior figures within the Blues dressing room, so you can understand why Potter may lean towards him during a difficult period on the pitch.
However, using the £110,000-a-week central midfielder in every game could be a bad move.
In our view, it’s coming to a period where Chelsea look better and more dynamic in the centre of the park without the Italy international.
It would be great to see how a midfield pivot of Denis Zakaria and Mateo Kovacic combine with a run of consecutive starts in the same line-up.
With Jorginho’s future lying away from west London, it’s time to start fading him out.

Jorginho, along with Mason Mount and Kai Havertz, recently received big criticism from Frank Lebouef for their form.
It does feel like putting extra faith in some of these exciting youngsters could be the way to go right now.
