Manchester United will walk away from negotiations to sign Mason Mount if their next bid is rejected.
That is according to The Times.
They claim that United are now preparing a third and final offer for Mason Mount worth in excess of £55million.
It is understood that Chelsea have lowered the price tag of their attacking midfielder to £65million, but Erik ten Hag’s side feel that is still too high for someone in the final year of his deal at Stamford Bridge.
All eyes will be on the Blues to see if they do accept this final bid.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano shared on YouTube that Mount’s camp has told Chelsea the player won’t be signing a contract extension in west London.
It means the Blues can either cash in and accept United’s bid for the England international in this window. Alternatively, the 24-year-old will have one final season to see out with Chelsea until his contract expires next year.
In our view, now might be the time for Mount to leave.
We started out praying the Chelsea academy graduate would perform a U-turn and sign a new deal, but no single player is bigger than the club.
It sounds sensible for all parties if this deal can be wrapped up quickly.

Despite an underwhelming 2022/23 season, Mount is going to leave a fairly sizeable hole in the Chelsea squad. After all, he’s a two-time player of the year for the Blues.
We’re hopeful that new signing Christopher Nkunku can be among the attackers to chip in with their fair share of goals next season.
