Reports have claimed that Inter Milan have asked Chelsea about signing defender Trevoh Chalobah this summer.
According to Mail Online, the Englishman has offers to stay at home as well as he assesses his future in the coming weeks.
Many will have expected last season to be the final one at Stamford Bridge for Chalobah, even though he will feel that he personally impressed whenever he was called upon.
The 23-year-old was one of Graham Potter’s favourite players at the club, and he played a lot of games while Wesley Fofana was struggling with injuries.
Towards the end of the season, he was required to play on the right of defence as Reece James saw the end of the campaign come early due to injuries.
He actually impressed quite a lot in this position, particularly in the draw at home with Nottingham Forest.
It was always expected that at least one defender would be on the move away this summer, however Chalobah could have already escaped this fate.
Kalidou Koulibaly has already completed his move to Saudi Arabia after just one underwhelming season at the club. There was plenty of expectation that he would be a key member of the defence.
However, his place is likely to be filled by Levi Colwill, who has returned from a loan spell at Brighton where he turned a lot of heads.
The Blues have made the point that the Englishman is untouchable this summer, although he is awaiting talks with Mauricio Pochettino regarding what the future holds for him.
It is expected that the club will make assurances over his gametime, with reports claiming that he is already being considered to start the first game of the season against Liverpool.
