Chelsea are reportedly one of the clubs interested in Brighton defender Ben White, along with Leeds United and Liverpool.
The 22-year-old had an impressive loan spell at Elland Road last season and played a major part in Leeds United’s successful campaign to win the Championship and promotion to the Premier League.
To put it into perspective, the young centre-back featured in all of Leeds United’s 46 league games and was named their young player of the season.
According to a report from the Guardian, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard who is hunting for defensive reinforcements this summer admires White after his outstanding loan spell.
Signing White wouldn’t come easy, though.

First of all, the report said Chelsea are not the only club pursuing the defender.
Liverpool are also interested, while Leeds United have even sent their third bid after their previous two offers were turned down, according to a recent report from Sky Sports.
Secondly, Brighton are reportedly determined to keep him. Not only White has two years left in his contract, Brighton reportedly has an option to extend his contract for another year.
The third problem is that Chelsea would need to raise funds through sales before signing new defenders.
