Arsenal are now interested in signing Chelsea’s Mason Mount this summer, according to reports.
Mason Mount, 24, is a player whose Chelsea future is a hop topic for discussion right now.
The attacking midfielder’s current deal at Stamford Bridge expires in the summer of 2024, so he would be entering next season in the final year of his contract unless a solution is found.
Journalist Simon Phillips recently told GiveMeSport that Chelsea are growing more optimistic that Mount will accept their terms and sign a contract extension.
However, there’s contrasting reports that indicate the England international could leave the Blues.

According to GOAL, Arsenal are now monitoring Mount and he’s been discussed as a transfer target.
The report says that the 24-year-old player is expected to leave Chelsea in the summer transfer window after rejecting recent deals.
In addition, there’s currently interest from Liverpool, Newcastle United, Manchester City and Manchester United in the Blues playmaker.
It is understood that Mount’s versatility in the final third is seen as a big plus for Premier League leaders Arsenal, who currently sit five points clear at the top in a fascinating title race.

We still hold out hope that Mount will extend his stay with Chelsea, who are the club he’s been with since the age of six.
The fact that clubs like Arsenal are joining the transfer hunt for him should be the clearest indication to Chelsea that they need to keep him for the long-term future.
It’s been a difficult individual season for him, with his standards dipping from his usual high standard. However, he would walk into most sides when he’s anywhere near his best.
Danny Murphy recently said Mount could get into the Liverpool or Man United team. We think the same about the Arsenal line-up, too.
