Nottingham Forest reportedly wanted to sign Chelsea’s Armando Broja on loan next month, but they’ve been forced to give up that plan due to his injury.
According to The Telegraph, Premier League side Forest had their eyes peeled on Chelsea’s 21-year-old striker.
The report claims that they planned to try sign Broja on a temporary basis to help their fight against relegation.
However, the Blues centre-forward suffered a long-term knee injury recently to wreck Forest’s plans.
Apparently, Steve Cooper’s side will still be in the market in January to sign attacking players and a centre-back.

Nottingham Forest wanted Armando Broja
Broja would’ve been a major coup for Forest if he moved to the City Ground, so you can’t blame them for wanting him.
Unfortunately, the young attacker won’t be playing football anytime soon.
The Blues confirmed on their official website earlier this month that Broja is expected to miss the remainder of the 2022/23 season because of an anterior cruciate ligament rupture.
He’s since delivered a defiant message that he’s taking things “step by step” on his road to recovery.

In our view, Broja wasn’t going anywhere in January.
If he was fully fit, surely Chelsea would’ve knocked back any approach from Forest.
The forward may have only started three games in the opening half of the season, but he did come off the bench 15 times as well to prove he’s certainly an important part of Graham Potter’s squad.
There’s definitely a hole in the group now as a result of Broja’s injury.
