Newcastle United have reportedly set their sights on a move for Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech this month.
Ziyech, 29, is a Blues attacker whose future is heavily speculated about in the transfer rumour mill.
The £33million Blues player has struggled for minutes at Stamford Bridge so far this season, albeit he’s had a mini resurgence post-World Cup.
His performances with Morocco on the World Cup stage earned him some more minutes under Chelsea boss Graham Potter, and he repaid the head coach with an assist in Sunday’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League. Incidentally, Kai Havertz praised his teammate’s display on the weekend.

Hakim Ziyech future
According to The Telegraph, Newcastle are interested in a move for Ziyech during the January transfer window.
It is understood that the left-footed wide player would be allowed to leave, too.
The report explains Newcastle also have Chelsea midfielders Conor Gallagher and Ruben Loftus-Cheek on their radar this month, but Potter would be reluctant to let them go.

Described as “fantastic” by Potter, Ziyech has looked one of Chelsea’s brighter sparks during a difficult few weeks on the pitch.
It’s been tough for the African star to find any consistency in Chelsea colours, so a move away from west London wouldn’t surprise any supporter.
However, it would be a massive challenge to dislodge in-form Miguel Almiron from the Newcastle line-up at St James’ Park.
There’s definitely signs he can still impact this Chelsea XI in a positive way this season, which is why it’s going to be interesting to see what happens with him in the next couple of weeks.
