Reports suggest that Premier League sides are monitoring the situation of Chelsea’s Mason Mount.
The Athletic claim that time is running out for the club to sort the 23-year-old’s contract situation, with it sat among a heap of things in Todd Boehly’s in tray.

It was another stellar season for Mount last time out, as he developed further into a crucial member of Thomas Tuchel’s first team squad.
The England international reached double digits for both goals and assists in the Premier League, becoming a big reason as to why the Blues maintained their charge for a top four placing.
His continued development has kept him on the radar of some of the world’s best clubs, and his contract situation will only be encouraging them if they look to do a deal.
According to the Athletic, elite clubs in England are keeping tabs on the Blues star, with his current contract not reflecting his importance to the club.
They also state that with only two years until his deal expires, the “clock is ticking” for the new owners at Stamford Bridge to secure Mount’s future in West London.
It is anyone’s guess just who these clubs are – as they are not named – but the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool could well be among the clubs keeping tabs on the attacking midfielder.
And while there is still no reason to panic, due to Mount’s loyalty to Chelsea, this is a situation that the club surely need to resolve sooner rather than later, to stop the exit rumours growing stronger.

It may seem obvious, but the club should do everything in their powers to keep Mount at the club. Fortunately, nothing suggests the situation is out of their hands.
Similar to the situation surrounding 22-year-old Reece James, the pair have become crucial assets to the club in rapid time, showing they’re worth more than what they’re earning, especially compared to other international stars at the club.
Mount signifies the face of the next ten years at Stamford Bridge, and with the new owners making it clear they want to keep the Blues competing under their tenure, securing the Englishman’s future would be a great way of convincing fans that that’s the case.
