Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly in pole position to land Porto’s Alex Telles as they have ‘Brazilian influence’ advantage over Chelsea.
The 27-year-old has had a fairly good season with Porto, having scored eight goals and laid out five assists in the Primeira Liga this season.
Chelsea have been heavily linked with Telles, along with a few other left-backs, since both Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso have failed to convince Frank Lampard and cement their starting spots this season.

And the stars seemingly aligned for the transfer to happen with Portuguese outlet A Bola claiming that Chelsea have been in contact with Porto, back in March.
But a recent report from another Portuguese newspaper O Jogo said that PSG are leading the race and they have already sent a €25million (£23m) offer to Porto for the Brazil international.

The report also added that Porto will let Telles have the final say, and PSG’s Brazilian stars such as Neymar, Marquinhos, and Thiago Silva will have a significant influence on Telles’ decision.
But missing out on Telles is unlikely to frustrate Chelsea they still consider Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell as the primary target (Goal).
Goal’s report also added that Chelsea have lined up several other alternatives including Ajax’ Nicolas Tagliafico who would be available for a similar price (£23m), and Getafe’s Marc Cucurella despite ranking lower on their shortlist.
