Report: Rival PL club told something about Mykhailo Mudryk which may ‘raise alarm bells’ at Chelsea

Reports have claimed that a rival Premier League club were given a negative review of Mykhailo Mudryk’s character before Chelsea signed him.

According to The Athletic, the likes of Brentford, Everton and Newcastle were all keen on a deal for the former Shakhtar Donetsk man before the interest in him this month.

It was believed by many that Arsenal were set to pip the Blues to a deal as they like to make additions to their squad in an attempt to win the Premier League.

However, it was Stamford Bridge where he was welcomed on Sunday, as the club introduced him to his new supporters.

Premier League club were put off signing Mudryk

There may be an element of concern though at The Athletic’s report that a fellow Premier League club have previously been put off a deal due to his character, potentially raising alarm bells for his new club.

The report does go on to say that his work ethic off the field has improved drastically, especially since he has shone in the Champions League against the likes of RB Leipzig and Real Madrid.

Chelsea fans will now be excited to see him make his debut, with the injury plague beginning to spread to the attacking areas.

Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic are currently unavailable due to issues, leaving Potter scratching his head for his side that will face Liverpool at the weekend.

Shakhtar Donetsk’s interrupted season may cause issues in terms of match fitness, however he is already in training with his new club that have been lacking his one v one ability and directness this season.
