Chelsea striker David Datro Fofana is attracting interest from several clubs in this summer transfer window.

That is according to Foot Mercato.

The French publication claims that numerous teams are looking at David Datro Fofana, who could move away from Stamford Bridge on loan ahead of next season

It is understood that Nice, Lille, Union Berlin and Strasbourg are eyeing the 20-year-old Blues player.

The report adds that Ligue 1 club Nice have even spoken with Fofana over the phone after scouting him for half a year.

Nice, who finished 9th in the French top division last season, appear to be pushing hard to sign Chelsea’s youngster.

However, Fanatik claimed earlier this week that Galatasaray officials are flying into London to discuss Fofana’s future with Chelsea.

We feel it’s a no-brainer for the centre-forward to get some experience out on loan next season.

He joined the Blues at the turn of the year in a deal that could cost up to £10million, but he’s not had much of a look-in so far.

Fofana simply must go somewhere next season that he can play regularly and develop his game.

He’s still a raw talent that didn’t much of a chance to play in the first half of 2023, but now is the time he’s got to be experiencing first-team football somewhere.

He scored 24 goals in 65 first-team games for Norwegian club Molde. We like the idea of the French division as a great stepping stone before a proper crack at the Premier League.
