Boehly meets agent of 19-year-old regarding potential Chelsea move

Report: Todd Boehly meets agent of 19-year-old who recently shined against Liverpool, Blues now want him

Reports suggest Todd Boehly has met the agent of RB Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko regarding a potential move to the club.

According to SportKlub, the American met agent Elvis Basanovic, who made it clear on social media that he was travelling to a business meeting.

The 19-year-old announced himself on the world stage in a friendly victory over Liverpool, where he scored a stunning goal while running the Reds ragged.

The promising forward has already attracted top Premier League attention this summer, with Erik ten Hag reported to be keen on signing him as part of his rebuild at Manchester United.

However, Blues fans may be encouraged that they could be in pole position for the move, given the fact that SportKlub have claimed Boehly met Basanovic yesterday.

The report goes on to say though that because of already selling young striker Karim Adeyemi, they may push for a high price for the Slovenian striker.

A young striker could be exactly what Chelsea need going forward, with them seemingly unsure on how much gametime to trust Armando Broja with.

The Albanian seemingly has a fantastic opportunity to break into the Chelsea side this season, given there is no other recognised striker or regular goalscorer in the current first team squad.

After a decent spell at Southampton last season in a far less creative squad, the possibility to shine this season looks clear, given the Blues are certainly more creative than the Saints and surely able to force better chances.

However, if his heart is still set on a move away, bringing in close to the desired £50m for Broja could fund the deal for Sesko, with the hope that he’d be willing to hit the ground running when given opportunities at Stamford Bridge, especially considering they will be looking to compete again on four fronts this season.
