Chelsea loanee Nathan Baxter is already reportedly attracting interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
Baxter, 23, is a young Blues-owned goalkeeper that’s spent this 2021/22 season away from Stamford Bridge on a loan with Hull City.
According to TEAMtalk, Championship duo Hull and West Brom are both eyeing moves to sign him on a permanent basis.
The report explains Hull want to re-sign him next year on a full-time basis, something that’s been confirmed by their manager Shota Arveladze. West Brom are likely to be in the hunt for a replacement to Sam Johnstone, too.
Baxter has never actually made his first-team debut for Chelsea, but he’s featured in a match day squad in the past.
The London-born shot-stopper has already been out on seven separate loans during the last few years. However, he’s now being linked with a permanent departure from the Blues at the end of this season.

Chelsea GK situation
For certain, Edouard Mendy’s position as the club’s number one looks settled for the immediate future.
It would be a surprise if Kepa Arrizabalaga continues to be content playing second fiddle for the goalkeeper position, though.
There’s several young goalkeepers that will return from respective loans in the summer, so perhaps first-team boss Thomas Tuchel could take a closer examination in pre-season. For example, Jamie Cumming is a youngster worth keeping an eye out for.
