Chelsea target Wilfried Zaha could be about to change his mind and sign a new contract with Crystal Palace.

Palace attacker Wilfried Zaha, who’s scored 90 goals in 458 appearances for them, is certainly a club legend around Selhurst Park.

TalkSPORT reported back in March that the 30-year-old rejected multiple contract offers from Palace and was destined to leave this summer when his deal expires amid interest from both Chelsea and Arsenal.

Now, fresh rumours suggest Zaha may end up performing a U-turn and penning a contract extension in South London.

TalkSPORT has claimed this morning that Zaha is ‘seriously considering’ staying at Palace.

It is explained that the Eagles have offered him a brand new four-year deal to make him the highest paid player in their history.

The £130,000-a-week (Salary Sport) winger continues to be the talisman for his side, so it’s no real surprise they’re pushing hard to try keep him and avoiding losing him on a free transfer in the summer.

Described as “unplayable” by Tony Cascarino, Zaha is a nightmare for any Premier League full-back when he’s in full flow.

Journalist Dean Jones told GiveMeSport this month that Zaha remains on Chelsea’s shortlist ahead of the summer.

We can buy into the idea of snapping up Zaha on a free transfer this summer, which looks like it could be a decent deal for any side in the Premier League.

Of course, let’s wait and see if he does decide to commit his future at Palace again.

However, Chelsea’s priority in the upcoming transfer window can’t be in the wide positions.

The main areas the Blues need to focus on incomings is the goalkeeper, defensive midfield and striker position. As for wingers, the concern should be getting rid of individuals first rather than adding to the group.
