Chelsea could now face competition from Real Madrid to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Victor Osimhen is a target for Chelsea, according to the Daily Mail, who also claim that the 25-year-old has a £103m release clause.
However, as per FootballTransfers, there are now senior figures at Real Madrid who are keen on Osimhen and would prefer the club to sign him over Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe.
Any deal for the Nigerian will likely have to wait until the summer.
While Osimhen has a release clause, he only just signed a new contract. You would assume his release clause in that fresh deal will only become active at the end of the season.

Senior figures at Real Madrid want Victor Osimhen
It is only natural for Osimhen to have admirers at the Santiago Bernabeu. The Nigeria international is one of the best strikers in the world and showed as much last season.
In 39 appearances, he scored 31 goals. It is the kind of firepower Chelsea could do with right now.
Mauricio Pochettino‘s men are currently 10th in the Premier League table. Simply put, they have not been good enough this season, but a signing of Osimhen’s quality should be able to elevate them.
Unfortunately for the Blues, though, the former Lille man does not appear to be on the market at this moment in time. And when he eventually is, it looks like Real Madrid could enter the race for his signature.
Who would Osimhen pick, Chelsea or Real Madrid? It is a bit of a no-brainer, especially amid the former’s struggles this season. As for the latter, they remain arguably the biggest club in the world. You would have to be mad to turn them down for this current Chelsea team. It is certainly something to keep an eye on going into the summer.
