Chelsea star Thiago Silva is now attracting “serious interest” from clubs in Saudi Arabia.
That is according to well-respected journalist Simon Phillips.
Reporting on his Substack yesterday, Phillips claimed that there is Saudi interest during this summer transfer window in Thiago Silva.
It is understood that there may have been some early contact for the 38-year-old Blues defender, too.
He adds that Chelsea won’t be pushing the Brazilian’s transfer this summer, but the club is still open to the idea of selling one more centre-back during this window.

Silva is still going strong in his late thirties. In fact, Cesar Azpilicueta claims his teammate was “amazing” last season for Chelsea.
Silva, 38, only signed a new Blues deal back in February that keeps him at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2024.
The South American centre-half is still very much a key player in the squad, albeit incoming head coach Mauricio Pochettino will soon make his mind up on who he wants to work with next season.
In our view, we need to keep the veteran defender for the 2023/24 campaign.

There’s plenty of transfer speculation ongoing linking Chelsea players with high-profile moves to Saudi Arabia.
N’Golo Kante and Kalidou Koulibaly have already completed switches to the Middle East. Latest transfer rumours suggest more will follow, too.
We can definitely see the appeal of bringing a player to the league with the pedigree of Silva, but the Chelsea man can still offer so much in the Premier League.
