Raheem Sterling has been frozen out of the first-team picture at Chelsea this summer, but there’s talk in the media that he could yet secure a move to Arsenal in the final hours of the transfer window.
The future of Blues attacker Raheem Sterling, 29, is one of the biggest transfer sagas on Friday’s deadline day.
Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol reported earlier that Chelsea have been trying to offload Sterling, but there’s a good chance he’ll stay at Stamford Bridge.
However, there’s been a twist in the the English winger’s future in the final few hours of the summer window.

Arsenal hold late talks for Raheem Sterling
According to Sky Sports on its live transfer blog, Arsenal are currently in discussions with Chelsea over a late loan move for Sterling.
It is understood that the London rivals are actually making ‘progress’ on a potential deal.
On top of that, journalist Ben Jacobs has reported via X that Sterling would have “no hesitation” about a move to Arsenal if the clubs can agree a deal so late in the transfer window.
Can Raheem Sterling add another Premier League giant to his CV?
Sterling’s had a quite remarkable club career when you see what he’s achieved to date. At the age of 29, the fast attacker should feel he’s still got plenty more to offer as well.
The Englishman has played for some Premier League heavyweights, but will he soon add Arsenal to the list?
| Club | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Chelsea | 81 | 19 | 12 |
| Manchester City | 339 | 131 | 73 |
| Liverpool | 129 | 23 | 18 |
Sterling faces a quiet few months away from first-team football if he doesn’t leave Chelsea in the remaining hours of the window, so he must be desperate for this transfer to go through. On top of that, he’s previously worked under Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta when he was an assistant coach at Man City.
