‘Soon’: Chelsea are about to decide whether or not to get rid of their 23-year-old player this summer – Romano

Chelsea will “soon” make a decision on the future of Christian Pulisic, it’s been claimed.

According to well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Blues will make a final choice on the 23-year-old player imminently.

It is explained Manchester United made a move last week to try sign the American attacker on loan. Premier League rivals Newcastle United have also been keen to take him on loan this summer, too.

Pulisic’s been used off the bench in the opening three games of the league season, so is far from a favourite right now under Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.

There should soon be an update on him, though.

Romano has given an update on the Chelsea winger’s transfer position:

“A lot continues to be written about Christian Pulisic’s future, and I expect this could be resolved soon. Still, I wouldn’t bet on him ending up at Old Trafford,” he told Caught Offside.

“Manchester United’s only request for information for Pulisic was a week ago, but Chelsea would not want to accept a loan deal with an important club like Man Utd.

“Newcastle have also wanted him on loan for months, certainly a decision will be made soon.”

Chelsea decision on Pulisic

If Pulisic is determined to stay at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea should keep him and give him the chance to shine in the line-up.

It’s obvious the attacking combination hasn’t worked in the opening weeks of the season, so Pulisic should be first in the queue to get promoted to the starting XI this weekend against Leicester City.

On his day, the electric forward can give the Blues a spark with his dribbling and directness. However, the grey area on his game is that it’s been inconsistent for a few years in West London.

It’s been previously reported this month that Pulisic could push to leave if he’s not guaranteed playing time moving forward this season.

The frustration is that an in-form Pulisic breezes into this Chelsea attack to reenergise it, but that best version of him has gone missing.
