Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho does not want to leave Old Trafford.

Jadon Sancho was thought to be a player who Chelsea looked at in the summer transfer window, but nothing materialised in the end and this latest news makes a January move seem unlikely.

According to FootballTransfers, the 23-year-old is not keen on departing United despite his current exile.

Sancho was recently banned from the first team after a spat with manager Erik ten Hag, but it does not look like his banishment will make him push for an exit in January.

In September, the Daily Mail claimed that Chelsea did consider signing the Englishman in the last transfer window.

Could Jadon Sancho push for a move to Chelsea in January?

Honestly, it would be a surprise if he even had the option to.

Right now, things are obviously not going to plan for Sancho at United, but he’s not a bad footballer. It was only in 2020 when Neymar was hailing him as a “special player”.

However, Chelsea look OK in the wide positions right now, especially with Cole Palmer showing a bit of form following his arrival from Manchester City over the summer.

The 21-year-old played a key role in the Blues’ 4-1 win against Burnley just before the international break.

He scored a penalty and set up Nicolas Jackson’s goal, Chelsea’s fourth on the afternoon, to help his side earn all three points.

A lot probably needs to happen if Sancho is to join Mauricio Pochettino’s men in the new year.
