Tony Cascarino has claimed he thinks Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland will join Chelsea this summer.
Haaland, 21, is already regarded as one of the world’s elite centre-forwards. He scored 41 goals in 41 games across all competitions last season for German club Dortmund.
The Norway international has been a rumoured Chelsea target in the last few months.
For instance, 90min claimed earlier in July the Blues may be willing to pay up to £150million to secure the superstar.
Meanwhile, Matt Law on the London is Blue podcast, as relayed by The Chelsea Chronicle, reported that Chelsea signing a new striker may rely heavily on what happens with their current player Tammy Abraham.
Cascarino is confident though that Halland is going to end up at Stamford Bridge.
“I cannot believe they will not go break the bank to get someone like Haaland,” Cascarino told talkSPORT.
“They are going to do a really big transfer in my opinion. It’s been so quiet. The storm is coming. They’re going to do a mind-boggling transfer & I think it’ll be Haaland.”
Haaland rumours to Chelsea are making fans giddy
If Haaland joins Chelsea, chances of a genuine Premier League title bid increase tenfold.
It’s no exaggeration to say he’s in the mix for best young player in the world, albeit Kylian Mbappe may disagree.
The Dortmund forward has everything to his game with brute strength, pace and a calmness in front of goal.
He looks like he’s tailor-made for the English football, so Blues fans can only cross their fingers for what would be the club’s biggest ever signing.
