Atalanta are going to demand £50million-plus to sell Chelsea target Rasmus Hojlund this summer, according to reports.

Rasmus Hojlund, who’s aged just 20, is a very exciting upcoming striker lighting up the Serie A.

He’s been likened to Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland in the past by his former boss Christian Ilzer, which is some weight on his young shoulders.

However, there’s now rumours he’s attracting some big transfer interest.

According to well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea and Manchester United are among the clubs to eye Atalanta’s rising star.

Apparently, the Serie A club could put a price tag on his head of around €60million (£51million).

“Hojlund is one of many names in Man United list, he’s appreciated,’ Romano told CaughtOffside.

“The price tag is not confirmed yet but could be close to €60m at least, some sources suggest. Many, really many top clubs sent their scouts to follow him this year including Chelsea.”

We do like Chelsea’s transfer links to Hojlund, who’s already looking a very dangerous centre-forward at such a young age.

However, the Blues need to sign proven and clinical this summer in the No 9 position.

The gaping hole in the squad that Mauricio Pochettino is inheriting is definitely the striker position because there’s nobody at the top end of the pitch that can fire 20-plus goals a season when leading the line.

Hojlund fits into the model of this ownership when it comes to signing some of the best young players around, something that we do like, but they need the finished article in this case.
