Journalist Dharmesh Sheth has claimed that Christian Pulisic is now the most likely player to leave Chelsea next.

He told GiveMeSport that the American is surely on the move after personally claiming that he needs to find a new challenge.

It probably won’t go down as a particularly positive time at Stamford Bridge for Pulisic on a personal basis since his £58m move from Germany.

Last season especially saw his minutes severely limited, with a combination of injuries and competition in the squad seeing him spend a lot of time on the sidelines.

January in particular was a dire month for the American, with his time on the pitch coming to a halt after injury against Manchester City.

Pulisic likely to leave next

By the time he returned to the squad, there were two fresh faces looking to provide competition out wide. Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk had joined the club and had made their debuts.

All the expectations regarding those two are that they will be the starting wingers for a number of years now, and this is therefore likely to leave Pulisic surplus to requirements.

Sheth has now claimed that he is the most likely player to be next out the door at Stamford Bridge.

He said: “Pulisic looks probably the strongest, of him and Gallagher, to leave Chelsea. He’s actually come out and said it hasn’t worked out for him, particularly last season. Maybe he will need to find a new challenge.”

The club have already been busy in selling players this summer in order to raise funds for their own signings.

The sales of Mason Mount and Kai Havertz will bring in plenty of money that they will have to spend well this summer to improve.
