Tammy Abraham sends four-word message after 21-year-old leaves Chelsea on loan
Dujon Sterling has completed a loan move away from Chelsea on Tuesday, which has prompted a kind four-word message from Tammy Abraham.
Sterling, 21, has joined Championship club Blackpool today on a deadline day move.
The Blues confirmed on their official website that the defender has penned a new contract with the club that keeps him at Stamford Bridge until 2023.
He’s now joined up with Blackpool, though, as he goes in search of regular first-team football.
The London-born right-back has played two senior Chelsea games, but has previously had loan spells with Coventry City and Wigan Athletic.
Sterling was involved with the main Blues group during pre-season. However, it’s an extremely tough ask to break into the squad at present given the options available to manager Thomas Tuchel.
The English full-back celebrated his news on Instagram and received a message from ex-Blues striker Abraham, who left this summer to join Roma.
“Show time lil bro,” Abraham replied.
Dujon Sterling one of several Chelsea loanees to watch out for
Chelsea have sold plenty of young talents this summer, but at the same time continued their policy of loaning out some of the best rising talents from the academy, too.
Sterling is a powerhouse attacking right-back that could be a great signing for Blackpool in the Championship and it’s a great opportunity for him to develop.
Meanwhile, Armando Broja at Southampton is someone who’s started brightly and could make an impact in the top flight.
Also, Billy Gilmour (Norwich City), Conor Gallagher (Crystal Palace), and Levi Colwill (Huddersfield Town) are a few more to potentially keep an eye on.
