After Noni Madueke’s Chelsea departure is set to be confirmed in the coming days, there is a real chance another key attacker from the 2024/25 season joins him out the door.
Nicolas Jackson is being strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer after it appears he has lost popularity amongst many involved with the club, including supporters.
The Senegal international was sent off twice in a spell of just four games, with these being the only two games in the last 15 that Chelsea haven’t won.
It has been claimed that Enzo Maresca no longer sees Jackson as key to his plans, opening up the opportunity for other clubs to make their move.

Manchester United and Aston Villa enquire over Nicolas Jackson
With Chelsea fans keen on Liam Delap to start against PSG with Joao Pedro in support, there is a big chance that the starting striker of the last two campaigns starts the Club World Cup final on the bench.
Newcastle have been linked with signing Jackson, however it appears they are not the only Premier League side interested in a deal for the 24-year-old.
Journalist Nabil Djellit has claimed that both Aston Villa and Manchester United have made enquiries regarding the forward’s status.
He said: “The door is open for Nicolas Jackson for around €70M for Chelsea. A decision will be made after the Club World Cup. He could stay or leave… Some English clubs have made inquiries (Aston Villa, MU, etc.). In Italy, Naples is interested.”
The Blues have shown they are not afraid to make deals with clubs who could be seen as direct rivals to them, with Madueke and Kepa Arrizabalaga moving across London to Arsenal.

Chelsea have swap deal options from United and Villa
If the Blues want a replacement in attack for Jackson from one of the interested clubs, they have options directly from those sides.
Chelsea are long-term admirers of Alejandro Garnacho, and could make a move to sign the Argentina star following the exit of fellow winger Madueke.
The Blues are also big fans of Morgan Rogers, and a deal involving Jackson could save them having to spend the extortionate amount of money Villa would likely demand for him to move.
After missing out on Mohammed Kudus though, it can be expected that a big name will be on Chelsea’s shortlist before the transfer window closes.
