Fresh reports suggest that Chelsea are prepared to dig deep into their pockets to bring in a new signing for a key position on the pitch.
The Chelsea fans are used to pretty chaotic transfer windows under these Blues owners, so it’ll be interesting to see what lies in store for the summer.
Apparently, Chelsea could sell up to eight players at the end of the season to help bring in money. How much of it will be reinvested in fresh additions for the squad, though?
The Blues ownership, spearheaded by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, could inject even more money into the playing group.

Chelsea are prepared to splash out on new goalkeeper
Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed via Substack that he’s heard from ‘two top sources’ that Chelsea are in the market to sign a goalkeeper in the upcoming summer transfer window. He does explain that a new keeper would need to be the correct profile and a big improvement on what is already at Stamford Bridge.
Phillips adds that the Blues have the funds available for a new gloveman as they prepare to ‘spend big’ in the summer and match that with selling players.
At this moment, Chelsea could begin pre-season with four main options battling it out for the No 1 position. Do any of Robert Sanchez, Filip Jorgensen, Mike Penders or Djordje Petrovic possess the quality to be the club’s first-choice goalkeeper next season, though?
It’s been claimed that Chelsea could sell Sanchez or Petrovic in the next window. However, based on Petrovic’s form on loan at Strasbourg this season, many may argue he should get another opportunity in West London.

The goalkeepers Chelsea are linked with
The transfer rumour mill has already mentioned numerous potential goalkeeper targets for Chelsea.
For example, Chelsea have asked about AC Milan’s Mike Maignan as they enquire about the experienced French shot-stopper.
Elsewhere, Blues head coach Enzo Maresca likes Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, another individual with decent experience under his belt.
In terms of someone with Premier League know-how, it’s been claimed that Chelsea have made an offer for Aaron Ramsdale, the Southampton goalkeeper who’s just suffered relegation from England’s top division for the third time in his career.
