New Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca does not seem too keen on defender Ben Chilwell.
Enzo Maresca was asked about Ben Chilwell recently, telling reporters that he is trying to find a role for the left-back.
It has thrown Chilwell‘s future into further doubt, with the 27-year-old having already been linked with a move away from Chelsea before his manager’s comments.
However, if the Blues do want to sell Chilwell this summer, it looks like they could run into a couple of stumbling blocks.
He only managed to make 13 appearances in the Premier League last season because of injuries.

Deal for Ben Chilwell could be too expensive
Chelsea spent big money on Chilwell when they signed him from Leicester City back in 2020, paying £50m for his signature.
It is a lot of money for a full-back, while the Englishman is not on small wages either. According to Spotrac, he pockets £200,000 a week.
A report from The Athletic has now suggested that both his price tag and salary could block a Stamford Bridge exit this summer.
Chilwell now appears to be the second-choice left-back at Chelsea, finishing last season behind Marc Cucurella.
The England international is doing his best to convince Maresca, though. Chilwell made an excellent block against Club America last week.
Who can afford Ben Chilwell?
One club who should be able to afford Chilwell are Manchester United, who have been linked with the Chelsea star.
It has been claimed that Manchester United could be a landing spot for Chilwell amid interest from the English giants.
Away from them, there are not too many other clubs in the Premier League who can afford to spend loads of money on a left-back, while the former Leicester man has not really been linked to any other teams.
Ultimately, then, it looks like Chilwell could remain in west London beyond the transfer window despite Maresca not being exactly sure what to do with him.
