The agent of one Brazilian attacker has claimed that Chelsea are one of many clubs from Europe who are interested in his client.
Chelsea may be on the lookout for a new forward this summer, with the future of Raheem Sterling currently in doubt.
The 29-year-old is said to be attracting interest from MLS, and a move elsewhere is something that some Chelsea fans may want to see.
Sterling is not the most popular figure at Stamford Bridge right now after his shocking display against Leicester City in the FA Cup quarter-finals. The winger was booed when he was substituted in the second half.
Whatever the case, the Blues could make a move for Internacional winger Mauricio it seems.

What has Mauricio’s agent said about Chelsea?
While several clubs from Europe have made enquiries about signing Mauricio, Chelsea have not, according to the attacking midfielder’s agent Andre Cury.
However, Cury has told Revista Colorada that the Blues do like his client.
Discussing whether Chelsea actually were interested in Mauricio after reports claimed they were, Cury said: “I know they like him a lot, but so far there have been no enquiries. He’s got several enquiries from Europe.”
Last season, Mauricio made 48 appearances in all competitions for Internacional, scoring 11 goals.
What would Mauricio bring to Chelsea?
Mauricio is quite a versatile attacker. As well as being able to play behind the striker, the 22-year-old can also operate on either flank.
Again, then, he could be one name to consider if Chelsea do go on to sell Sterling this summer.
Right now, though, if the Blues are to bring in a new attacker ahead of the 2024/25 season, then it looks like that man will be Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams.
According to the reliable Fabrizio Romano, Williams is of interest to Chelsea and really appreciated by the club.
The Spain international has really impressed this term, coming up with 11 goal contributions in 24 La Liga outings.
As per FBref, Williams has ranked in the 95th percentile for progressive carries and the 95th for successful take-ons among attacking midfielders and wingers over the last year. If Chelsea want a new wide man that can be absolutely devastating one-v-one, then the 21-year-old could be their guy. And being a natural left winger, he would be a more like-for-like replacement for Sterling than Mauricio.
All in all, Williams is the attacking player Chelsea should be prioritising this summer, or at least out of the Athletic star and Mauricio, who is yet to venture into European football at the age of 22.
