Chelsea are now said to be a likely destination for Neymar this summer after Todd Boehly held a meeting with PSG.
That is according to ESPN Deportes.
As Neymar looks set to leave PSG this summer, it seems Chelsea are positioning themselves to make an extraordinary move.
What’s the story?
Well, the Brazilian news outlet believe Boehly has met with PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi in Paris, where the topic of Neymar moving to Stamford Bridge arose.
PSG are open to selling the Brazil international in order to get his £606,000-a-week wages off their salary bill, having tried, but failed, to offload him in 2022.
ESPN Deportes add that Neymar was offered to Chelsea in the January transfer window, and while Boehly was tempted, a formal offer was never made.
Now – however – the Blues could get their hands on the South American sensation, who has been described as a “world class” footballer by PSG boss Christophe Galtier when speaking to Ligue 1’s official website.
ESPN believe Stamford Bridge is a likely destination for Neymar after Manchester United decided not to pursue a deal for the 31-year-old, having been left ‘traumatised’ by their last involvement with a superstar in Cristiano Ronaldo.
The PSG No.10 has impressively scored 18 goals while also providing 17 assists in just 29 appearances this season.
How Neymar performed under Pochettino as Chelsea reunion could happen
Neymar actually made 47 appearances under Mauricio Pochettino at PSG before Galtier replaced him in July 2022.
The Chelsea target enjoyed a productive time under the Argentine, scoring 21 goals and providing 16 assists in those 47 outings as PSG won the Ligue 1 title, Coupe de France and also the Trophée des Champions.

Pochettino seemed to enjoy working with Neymar despite the fact Brazil’s talisman carries something of a diva tag around with him.
As quoted by the Guardian, the 51-year-old said: “It’s so easy with Neymar. He’s very humble, he listens.”
Now – if ESPN Deportes are to be trusted – the pair could reunite in west London.
