Chelsea’s ‘key target’ in the transfer market is keen to join them at the end of the season.

The young Blues squad is definitely moving in the right direction under Enzo Maresca’s management, but they may need one or two more key additions to improve them.

It’s been claimed that Chelsea are planning a significant signing in the striker position when the summer transfer window comes around. If they can add a prolific scorer, we’re confident of a bigger and better 2025/26 campaign.

Victor Osimhen is eyeing move to Chelsea

The noise around Victor Osimhen and a potential move to Chelsea is picking up ahead of the summer.

Osimhen nearly joined Chelsea last summer before he ended up leaving Napoli to join Galatasaray on a season-long loan.

Now, FootballTransfers claims that Osimhen has set his sights on a move to Stamford Bridge this summer to play for Chelsea.

It is explained that the Blues are prepared to rekindle their interest in the 26-year-old striker after missing out on his signature in 2024.

The report claims that Osimhen is expected to leave Napoli on a permanent basis this summer. Apparently, he’ll be available for between €75-80m (£64-68m), due to a release clause in his contract.

FootballTransfers states that Osimhen is one of Chelsea’s key targets’ as they focus in on signing a new centre-forward.

Chelsea face competition for Osimhen from the likes of Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, so it’ll be interesting to see who wins the transfer race for one of Europe’s most consistent scorers in recent years.

Blues co-owner Todd Boehly, along with the rest of the Chelsea hierarchy, will deserve huge credit if Osimhen does actually join them for next season.

Without a doubt, the Nigeria international is the type of profile that ticks every box. He’s a proven finisher who should provide a high volume of goals wherever he plays.

As you can see above, Osimhen has scored 28 goals in 32 games across all competitions so far this season in Galatasaray colours.

It’ll be dreamland for Chelsea if they manage to bring in such a proven goalscorer. At the age of 26, he should be about to enter the prime years of his career, so we’d love to see him take on the Premier League with the Blues.
