Tottenham have made their move in an attempt to sign Conor Gallagher from Chelsea next month.
Conor Gallagher, 23, has emerged as a really important first-team star this season at Stamford Bridge.
However, there’s been frequent transfer rumours linking the Blues midfielder with a potential move to Premier League and London rivals Spurs.
The Sun claimed earlier this month that Spurs could end up selling Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to help raise the cash for £50m-rated target Gallagher.
Now, there’s suggestions that Ange Postecoglou’s side have initiated contact.

Tottenham move
Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed on Saturday morning that Spurs are now speaking directly with Chelsea about Gallagher.
It is explained that they’re in negotiations to try reach an agreement to sign the 23-year-old player.
Di Marzio wrote on X: “Spurs are in talks with Chelsea trying to reach an agreement for Conor Gallagher’s move to Tottenham.”
Journalist Ben Jacobs reported via X recently that Chelsea will consider bids for Gallagher next month worth between £45-50m.
Conor Gallagher interest
With only 18 months left on Gallagher’s deal at Chelsea, we don’t blame any club sniffing around for one of the Premier League’s most consistent midfielders this campaign.
However, our issue is the suggestion that the Blues are thinking about cashing in on their academy graduate.
Speaking via talkSPORT recently, Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino hailed Gallagher for his “massive impact” on the side. It’s quite telling that the England international has played in 22 of the club’s 23 games this season.
We don’t see any logic in selling Gallagher in 2024, especially to a rival like Spurs. We’re predicting a pretty strong backlash from supporters if this deal does turn into reality.
Our concerns are growing stronger and stronger now that the clubs are speaking about a deal.
