Ally McCoist praised Chelsea target Rafael Leao after his excellent goal at the World Cup yesterday.
AC Milan star Leao, who plays for the Portugal national team, scored his second goal of this year’s World Cup tournament on Tuesday night.
The 23-year-old attacker came off the bench during Portugal’s 6-1 demolition of Switzerland in the last-16 phase of the competition.
He bent in a superb right-footed finish into the far corner in his fourth consecutive game from the bench at this World Cup.
The left-winger can’t seem to force his way into the Portuguese’s starting line-up, but they keep relying on him for a piece of magic from the bench late in matches.

Ally McCoist praised Rafael Leao
ITV pundit McCoist was blown away by Leao’s impact off the bench yesterday against Switzerland.
When reacting to his latest goal at the World Cup, McCoist said on ITV 1 (8:52pm, 6 December): “That’s just tremendous. I told you he can play this lad. I’m a little bit surprised we didn’t see him until later on, but boy has he had made his mark. He scored earlier in the tournament. This is a great finish.”

Journalist Carlo Garganese has claimed on GIVEMESPORT that Chelsea are vying against Real Madrid to sign Leao.
The explosive attacker was already a star name at the San Siro going into the World Cup tournament, scoring seven goals and making nine assists in 20 Milan games this season.
However, his reputation has to be soaring with these memorable cameo displays for Portugal on the world’s biggest stage.
