Described as “unplayable” by Maxime Biamou via X in 2022, Gyokeres has gone to new heights this season.

The Mirror claimed a couple of weeks ago that Chelsea representatives have been monitoring Gyokeres this summer and he may be available this summer.

However, the Blues have been dealt a blow by fresh reports in the last 24 hours.

Viktor Gyokeres prefers Arsenal over Chelsea

FootballTransfers has now claimed that Gyokeres considers Arsenal his first-choice club to join this summer.

It is understood that the Gunners are prioritising the Sporting centre-forward as a priority target, so they must be delighted the player is eyeing a move to the Emirates Stadium.

The report mentions interest from Chelsea and several other clubs, but the Sweden international is eyeing Arsenal.

Apparently, Gyokeres will cost an initial transfer fee of €80 million (£68m), with a view to the total figure raising up to €100 million (£86m).
