Brighton midfielder Leandro Trossard has told Fabrizio Romano that he refuses to rule out a move to Chelsea next year.
Reports have begun to swirl that Blues boss Graham Potter would be interested in a reunion with the midfielder, after a number of successful years together at the Amex.
The manager was extremely high on him at his old club, positively describing his arrogance at one stage.
He has also continued his fine form in a number of positions under new manager Roberto de Zerbi. Perhaps his finest performance in Premier League history came when he struck a hat-trick at Anfield in a 3-3 draw recently.
Trossard himself when asked about the rumours could not rule out a move to Stamford Bridge, saying things will become clearer after this winter’s World Cup.

He said: “It’s very difficult to answer that. So that will have to wait until after the World Cup”
The 27-year-old will be hoping to make an impact on the Belgian national team this winter, with the golden generation of that nation quickly running out of time to make an impact on the international stage.
His versatility would be a great add to the Chelsea side, with them currently using a number of players out of position.
Both Raheem Sterling and Ruben Loftus-Cheek were utilised in the right wing-back role at the weekend, as Potter searches desperately for a solution to the issues cropped up from Reece James’ injury.
He previously converted Trossard into a very effective option on the left of a back five, with him able to come inside and cause real problems to opposition sides.
With a left wing-back not yet emerging as a number one option for the position, the former Brighton man could be a solid option for the new man in charge at Stamford Bridge.
