Napoli striker Victor Osimhen seems to have made up his mind on what he is going to do this summer amid interest from Chelsea.

Victor Osimhen is a man wanted at Stamford Bridge, with HITC Football insider Graeme Bailey recently telling The Chelsea Chronicle that the 25-year-old is the Blues’ No.1 target.

Osimhen signed a new contract at Napoli last month, but that has not guaranteed a summer stay. The Nigerian has since spoken to CBS Sports and told them he knows what he wants to do at the end of the season.

Napoli will be hoping that Osimhen has decided to stay at the club. He is, of course, their talisman, scoring 26 goals in 32 Serie A appearances last term.

In regard to his future, Osimhen’s mind already looks to be made up.

Discussing it in a recent interview, he said: “At the end of the season, I think I already made up my mind. I already know what I wanna do with my career, since I’ve started, I’ve been the one taking my own decision and everything is working out well for me. Even though when I started it, it didn’t go so well as planned.

“But I already have my plan, I already know what I want to do, the next step I want to take. So for now I just want to finish the season strong, go relax somewhere with my daughter, and then finally come up with the decision I’ve already made.”

Victor Osimhen needs to end up at Chelsea

Hopefully Osimhen has decided that he wants to move to Chelsea in the next transfer window.

Looking at his goal record, the Nigeria international would obviously be a clear upgrade on Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja.

If the Blues manage to land him and he can translate his Serie A form over to the Premier League, it could see them return to the top again after a couple of extremely disappointing seasons.

The ball is fully in Osimhen’s court, though, and it will be interesting to see what he does decide to do at the end of the campaign.
