Romelu Lukaku has completed his medical and is expected to arrive in London to conclude his Chelsea transfer in the next few hours, according to Calciomercato.
Contrary to earlier reports, the 28-year-old did not travel to Belgium for his medical yesterday and stayed in Milan instead.
Calciomercato claims that Lukaku has now already had his medical at Columbus Clinic Centre in Milan and will soon fly to London.
FCInterNews.it has even caught the moment the striker left Columbus clinic today. His agent Federico Pastorello can also be seen in the front seat of the car.
According to The Athletic, Lukaku himself is hoping that he will be able to take part in Wednesday’s UEFA Super Cup against Villarreal in Belfast.
If that is the case, then Chelsea fans can expect an official transfer announcement very soon, either this evening or tomorrow morning.
As it stands, though, Chelsea have already registered a provisional 26-man squad to UEFA and a few big names are surprisingly missing from the list.
