Chelsea have a big decision to make with Jadon Sancho, who is currently at the club on loan.
Chelsea signed Sancho from Manchester United last summer on a loan deal that would become permanent if the Blues finished higher than 14th this season.
They have now done that, but it has been widely reported that the club can get out of their obligation to buy Sancho by paying a small penalty fee.

The winger has had an inconsistent season, but he did score in the 2-2 draw with Ipswich Town last month. After the game, Sancho was praised by Kieran McKenna, who described his goal as a “brilliant moment”.

Insiders think Chelsea are leaning towards signing Jadon Sancho
Despite his inconsistency, Sancho is clearly a player Enzo Maresca still rates. The 45-year-old started him in Chelsea’s must-win game against Nottingham Forest over the weekend.
According to Sky Sports, some insiders think that was an indication that Chelsea are leaning towards signing Sancho permanently this summer.
| Jadon Sancho’s Chelsea stats | Appearances | Goals | Assists |

| Conference League | 7 | 1 | 5 |
| FA Cup | 2 | 0 | 0 |

With Mykhailo Mudryk still suspended, keeping hold of the Englishman may actually be necessary, though Chelsea are expected to buy a new winger regardless.
The Blues are thought to have several names on their shortlist, including Real Madrid’s Rodrygo. In fact, it has been claimed that Chelsea are already in talks with Rodrygo’s camp about a move to Stamford Bridge.
Like Sancho, the Brazilian can play on both flanks so would bring versatility to Maresca’s squad.

Jadon Sancho wants to stay at Chelsea
At one stage, it was thought that Sancho wanted to return to Borussia Dortmund, where he has had two separate spells.
However, Sky Sports’ report claims that the England international is actually keen to remain at Chelsea.
Sancho will only cost the Blues £25m, so it will not be an expensive deal. After his contribution helped get the club back into the Champions League, why not sign him if his wages are reasonable? The 25-year-old is on a huge contract at United so will probably need to take a pay cut to remain in west London.
